Mr R first called The Plumbing Group Limited when he discovered he was no longer getting any water from his PulsaCoil A Class. Our engineer headed out to the property to take a look at the boiler and find the problem. He quickly noticed that there was a split cylinder. This would have been the reason for Mr R not getting any hot water. Unfortunately, this means the engineer is no longer able to fully repair the unit and instead will have to replace it. This is because it is deemed beyond economical repair. He did however manage to do a temporary fix to last until he was able to fit the new unit.

In this case, Mr R decided to go for a Fabdec ThermaCoil as his replacement boiler. This was instead of a PulsaCoil PCS. We would recommend the ThermaCoil as it is a far simpler system than the PulsaCoil. The ThermaCoil runs off of a single mechanical blending valve while the PulsaCoil has many more parts to it. This includes a Printed Circuit Board, a Pump, Sensors and Relays for example. For the user of the system the two aren’t too different but for long term maintenance the ThermaCoil is much simpler.

The installation was carried out in under four hours and the old unit was removed and ethically disposed of.
